Work Experience
• Twenty-five years chemistry teaching experience at the high school and college level.
• Ten years experience working with not-for-profit organizations
• Four years experience in industrial settings; primarily in information technology.
Management experience
• Served as chief operating officer for a not-for-profit organization. Though primarily a part-time position, it required working with an administrative council and being responsible for the day to day operations of the organization.
• Developed operating budgets for three organizations
• Involved with the fund raising process for two organizations.
• Supervised two full-time employees in quality control laboratory
Chemical/Science Education experience
• Taught introductory college chemistry courses (currently an assistant professor of chemistry (non-tenure) at Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn, New York)
• Taught high school chemistry and physical science courses
• Taught courses in science education methods for elementary and secondary science teachers
• Taught physical science courses for pre-service elementary education majors
• Directed chemistry seminar for undergraduate chemistry majors

Safety experience
• Consultant for the Laboratory Safety Institute, Natick, MA; present workshops on laboratory safety to local and area science teachers
• Consultant for Onyx Environmental Services, Flanders, NJ; present workshops and provide training in chemical related areas such as right-to-know
• As Campus Safety officer, prepared safety materials for annual safety education training and self-audit of campus laboratories; maintained department training records for student assistants (most recently, at Monroe Academy, completed inventory of chemicals and began renovation of stockroom in order to meet current city, state, and federal safety requirements
Information technology experience
• Trained individuals in support group and technology division in operation of help desk software and support group procedures
• Provided software training for healthcare services provider
• Prepared reports related to quality control and productivity issues. Supervised three full-time and one half-time person in technology support group
• Assisted individual in design and implementation of database for farm operations
• Assisted small company with installation of local area network (LAN) and development of operational procedures
• Designed and developed procedures that reduced the time to collect and analyze billing data from insurance companies and Medicare from three people over three days to one person in one day
• Developed databases for technology support division to manage quality assurance information (gather and record data, prepare reports for managers and senior management, prepare reports for staff training) and to manage software requests
• Maintained division web page; designed and prepared documents in HTML for division web page/intranet
